Womit wir mittendrin w\u00e4ren: in der glamour\u00f6sen, jedoch gelungen geistreichen Bildwelt von Justyna Kisielewicz. Mutwillig, eigenwillig, souver\u00e4n zelebriert die K\u00fcnstlerin, die einst Malerei an der Kunsthochschule in Warschau studierte, ihren poppig-barocken Kunstrausch.<\/p>\n<p>Das Thema \u2013 der Stoff, aus dem ihre Kunst ist: Konsum und Kapitalismus. Justyna Kisielewicz setzt sich in ihren Arbeiten mit der omnipr\u00e4senten, oberfl\u00e4chlichen, spiegelglatt retouschierten Massenkultur auseinander: kritisch, aber keineswegs despektierlich oder moralinsauer, sondern mit kokett-kessem Augenzwinkern.<\/p>\n<p>So sind ihre kritischen Beobachtungen allesamt klug eingepackt in eine tradierte, altmeisterliche Symbolik: Auf Gucci-Einkaufstaschen posiert stolz ein Wiedehopf als Symbol des falschen Glaubens und des Hochmuts, aus dem Hintergrund k\u00e4mpft sich fieberhaft flatternd eine Eule hervor: Symbol einstiger Weisheit. Gartenflamingos, beliebtes Symbol der Kitsch-Trash-Florida-Kultur, breiten sich unaufhaltsam in gro\u00dfen Horden aus. Dazu immer wieder Masken, das Symbol der T\u00e4uschung schlechthin, und Seifenblasen, die an die Vanitas gemahnen.<\/p>\n<p>In diesem s\u00fcffig-symbolischen Bildrepertoire posiert mittendrin die K\u00fcnstlerin selbst als zentrale Bildfigur, sie mutiert zum Bildgegenstand und schl\u00fcpft gleich Cindy Sherman in verschiedene Rollen: tr\u00e4umender Akt, Hollywood-Ikone, Renaissance-Sch\u00f6nheit \u00e0 la Lucrezia Panciatichi oder weiblicher Narziss, wobei letztere Darstellung eine kongeniale Umsetzung der fast obzessiven Selbstpr\u00e4sentation in den Profilen der aktuellen Online-Netzwerke ist.<\/p>\n<p>Was will uns Justyna Kisielewicz damit sagen? Im Sinne des kanadischen Philosophen Marshall McLuhan versteht sie sich vor allem als eine K\u00fcnstlerin, die wie eine Art Radar oder Seismograph, gesellschaftliche Missst\u00e4nde warnend aufzeigt. Ihre Bilder sind somit als pointierte Stills, als Standbilder zu interpretieren, durch welche pr\u00e4gnante Szenen der Massenkultur eingefangen und mahnend fixiert werden. Auf inhaltlichem Terrain pr\u00e4sentiert sich Justyna Kisielewicz somit als eine Art Kassandra der Moderne.<\/p>\n<p>Auf formaler Ebene huldigt sie jedoch den Meistern der Vergangenheit. So basieren alle ihre Bilder, der heutigen Schnelllebigkeit entgegengesetzt, auf einem gr\u00fcndlichen und somit langwierigen Arbeitsprozess, welcher bei der Anfertigung von unz\u00e4hligen Skizzen einsetzt und \u00fcber die Detailselektion bis hin zur Zusammenstellung der Komposition reicht. Selbst die Qualit\u00e4t der Farben hat eine altmeisterlich-alchemistische Attit\u00fcde: Justyna Kisielewicz grundiert mit selbstgemachter Eitempera und malt ausschlie\u00dflich mit hochwertigen \u00d6lfarben, wobei sie auf Terpentin als Binde- und Verd\u00fcnnungsmittel vollst\u00e4ndig verzichtet.<\/p>\n<p>Die Bilder von Justyna Kisielewicz bestechen durch ihre akribische, fast schon exaltiert-exakte Ausf\u00fchrung und wirken somit selbst wie spiegelglatte Imitationen einer makellosen Massenkultur.
